Welcome to my first ever 31 Days series. We’ll be spending just a few moments every day journeying through the Book of Philippians. I’ll share some verses, a thought or two, and a prayer. My hope and prayer is that you will be encouraged and challenged to live the joy-filled life Christ promises us (John 15:11). Let’s jump in!
Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus,
To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and the deacons.
Grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:1-2
We begin our jaunt through this “epistle of joy” written by Paul to the church at Philippi with a promise of grace and peace from the Father and the Son. What a sweet beginning. I cannot imagine a greater cause for joy in the life of a believer than the grace that has saved us and the peace that indwells us.
Father God, we thank you for the precious gift of grace and the beautiful promise of peace. Teach us the joy of beginning each new day with fresh awareness of these truths and the awareness of Your presence in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
{Perhaps these words encouraged you today. Maybe they might be a blessing to someone else? I'd find it a great honor if you were to share this post with those you know. And would you subscribe for (almost) daily words of encouragement via email or in a Reader? Many thanks.}

I love going through a book of the Bible like this {and will especially enjoy doing it with you!} Grace and peace, my friend!
Great idea for a series! I chose the book of Psalms for my 31 day series, but Philippians is probably my second favorite book.
So glad I found you through the Nester and look forward to spending time with you this month through your series. What a fantastic way to inspire others.
