It’s October … leaves-changing, football-playing, sweater-wearing, autumn-arriving October. I love it all!
But mixed in with all the harvest happenings and pigskin rivalries, October brings pink … a lot of pink.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. This week, I am partnering with two of my favorite writers to bring you a new sort of breast cancer awareness series. Insights from our lives and our experiences … and challenges from our hearts to yours.
Statistics say one in eight women will experience some sort of invasive breast cancer in their lifetime. {source} One in eight. In a room filled with women, it is unlikely that there will be single person present who has not been impacted by breast cancer. It’s real … and for most of us, it’s a scary proposition.
We all want to do something … anything. That’s why Brooke {www.brookemcglothlin.com}, Sarah {www.reallifeblog.net}, and I have teamed up this week to share with you our {I Am Pink} series. And we want to invite you to share your {I Am Pink} story with us as well.
Here’s the schedule for the week:
Monday: {I Am Pink} introductions here, at Brooke’s, and at Sarah’s.
Tuesday: Teri Lynne
Wednesday: Brooke
Thursday: Sarah
Friday: {I Am Pink} Linky hosted by Brooke. Share your {I Am Pink} message with us!
This week is going to be awesome … so go, paint your toenails pink and join us in declaring {I Am Pink}.
{Perhaps these words encouraged you today. Maybe they might be a blessing to someone else? I'd find it a great honor if you were to share this post with those you know. And would you subscribe for (almost) daily words of encouragement via email or in a Reader? Many thanks.}
